ARRIVAL CHECKLIST

ARRIVAL CHECKLIST for Ozarks Church of Nature & Magical Food Forest

Welcome.

This checklist is meant to make arrival simple, reduce confusion, and help everyone understand how the property works before settling in.

Please review this on arrival and ask about anything that is unclear.

ASK INSTEAD OF ASSUME.

  1. ARRIVAL INFORMATION

  1. PARKING

[ ] I know where I am permitted to park.

Approved sanitation arrangement:

[ ] I understand which toilet or waste system I am permitted to use.

  1. FOOD & KITCHEN

[ ] I understand that I am responsible for providing and preparing my own food unless another arrangement has been made.

[ ] Shared meals are optional and voluntary.

[ ] I will not assume that food in someone else’s home, refrigerator, pantry, garden, freezer, or storage area is available to me.

[ ] I will ask before harvesting food or medicinal plants.

  1. GARDENS & FOOD FOREST

[ ] I will not harvest plants, herbs, fruit, vegetables, seeds, flowers, mushrooms, wood, or other materials without permission.

[ ] I understand that some plants are being grown for medicine, seed, propagation, preservation, wildlife, or business use.

[ ] I will ask before pruning, transplanting, removing, spraying, treating, or otherwise altering plants.

  1. CHILDREN

If I brought children or dependent minors:

[ ] I understand that I remain responsible for their supervision and daily care.

[ ] I will supervise them around animals, roads, water, tools, fire, machinery, gardens, and wilderness areas.

[ ] I understand that hosts and community members do not automatically provide childcare or babysitting.

  1. PERSONAL HOUSEHOLD RESPONSIBILITIES

[ ] I am responsible for my own laundry.

[ ] I am responsible for my own dishes.

[ ] I am responsible for cleaning my own living area.

  1. PRIVACY & QUIET

[ ] I understand that community does not mean unlimited access to other people.

[ ] I will report dangerous conditions promptly.

  1. WORK-TRADE, IF APPLICABLE

My primary work-trade areas are:

[ ] I understand the contribution expected from me.

[ ] I know who to ask if I am unsure what needs to be done.

[ ] I understand that major projects or permanent changes require permission first.

[ ] I will communicate if I am unable to complete something we agreed upon.

  1. THE GOLDEN RULE

When I am unsure:

I WILL ASK.

I understand that something offered once as a kindness, convenience, emergency solution, shared meal, ride, favor, animal-care help, childcare help, loan, tool use, or other assistance does not automatically become an ongoing obligation.

One act of kindness does not automatically become somebody else’s job.
