The Sanctuary Grounds – Day Visitor Conduct

 

Welcome to the Ozarks Church of Nature & Magical Food Forest.  This is private property, a working homestead, a developing medicinal food forest, and the home of people and animals who live here.  By entering the property, visitors agree to respect the land, wildlife, animals, residents, customers, and other guests.

Pack It In, Pack It Out

We do not provide public trash service.

All personal trash must leave with you, including:

• cigarette butts
• food and beverage containers
• disposable packaging
• pet waste
• plastics
• cans
• personal-use items

Please leave the land cleaner than you found it.

Protect the Peace

We welcome people of many backgrounds and beliefs.

We do not welcome:

• aggressive behavior
• harassment
• unwanted sexual advances
• threats or intimidation
• political campaigning
• religious proselytizing
• attempts to provoke arguments or confrontation
• repeated disruption of the peace

Different beliefs are welcome.  Disrespectful behavior is not.

Protect the Land

Do not intentionally dispose of medications, recreational drugs, alcohol, chemicals, solvents, oils, pesticides, tobacco waste, or other contaminants into toilets, septic systems, drains, springs, soil, gardens, or waterways.

Respect Private Areas

Public access does not mean unrestricted access.

Do not enter:

• residential areas
• private structures
• animal enclosures
• work areas
• storage areas
• other marked or obviously private spaces

without permission.

No Unauthorized Harvesting

Do not harvest fruit, vegetables, herbs, medicinal plants, seeds, flowers, wood, mushrooms, or other materials without permission.

Animals

Visiting animals must remain safely under the control of the person responsible for them.  Our livestock guardian dogs and resident animals live and work here. A visiting animal may not chase, threaten, attack, harass, or interfere with livestock, wildlife, residents, guests, or working animals.

Property Access

Management may refuse service or ask a visitor to leave for violation of property rules, unsafe conduct, harassment, threats, property damage, or disruption of the sanctuary, subject to applicable law.
