Gatherings & Sacred Calendar

Gatherings & Sacred Calendar

Worship at the Ozarks Church of Nature is not confined to one building, one day of the week, or one particular ceremony.  We gather throughout the year for contemplation, spiritual conversation, sacred-text study, meditation, teaching, stewardship, community meals, music, seasonal observances, service, and time together in Nature.

Some gatherings are quiet.  Some involve learning.  Some involve planting, harvesting, cooking, caring for the land, or helping our neighbors.  Some are simply opportunities to sit together beneath the trees and remember that connection itself can be sacred.

Regular Gatherings

The Ozarks Church of Nature maintains regular opportunities for worship, learning, fellowship, and stewardship.  Our gathering schedule may include:

– Nature & Spirituality Circles
Conversation, contemplation, prayer, meditation, sacred-text exploration, and discussion of the Divine through many traditions.

– Sacred Garden & Stewardship Gatherings
Hands-on worship through gardening, planting, tending the food forest, caring for habitat, harvesting respectfully, and giving back to the land.

– Teaching & Community Learning
Herb walks, plant identification, gardening, food preservation, traditional skills, natural living, and other educational gatherings.

– Meditation, Music & Reflection
Quiet gatherings centered on meditation, music, gratitude, contemplation, and spiritual connection.

– Seasonal & Sacred Observances
Gatherings that recognize the changing seasons, cycles of Nature, memorials, planting and harvest times, and other meaningful occasions throughout the year.

– Community Service & Shared Meals
Opportunities to serve, share food, help neighbors, exchange knowledge, and practice love through action.

Our Worship Is Living

Not every gathering looks like a traditional church service.

– A morning spent planting trees may be worship.

– A circle discussing sacred writings may be worship.

– Preparing food for another person may be worship.

– Teaching someone to recognize a plant may be worship.

  • Sitting quietly beneath a tree may be worship.

We believe spiritual practice becomes meaningful when it moves beyond words and becomes part of everyday life.

All Are Welcome

You do not have to be a member of the Ozarks Church of Nature to attend an open gathering.  You do not have to follow a particular religion.  You do not have to agree with everything we believe.

– Come respectfully.

– Bring your questions.

– Bring what you have learned.

– And come prepared to leave the land and one another a little better than you found them.

Nature is Sacred.
No Middleman Required.
